Corona

The Corona Helicopter is one of the most famous one, for beginners or advanced pilots who want to have a easy to carry, fun to fly and easy to repair one.

This helicopter has so many people using it that we decided to build a table, to help new comers to decide which setup they would like to use, according to their budget/taste.

The table is made and consistently updated, by hobbyist who share their experience in their own setup.

Table is available either as an EXCEL sheet here or as a picture here.

Building You get a very extensive and clear building manual. I honestly felt I was building such a work of art. Pieces just fit perfectly and it happens many times that you build something, and don't know how it will look like until it is build. For anyone who cares about understanding who works an helicopter, this stage is a real pleasure.
Take-off Smooth and easy
Flight behavior I'll pass, I don't know how to fly an helicopter yet :)
Landing same as above
Crash Results This helicopter is famous also because very shock resistant. Large pinion gear (to the motor) would be hurt, tail boom from the main blades would also be hurt, landing gear ? Maybe more, if someone crashes it really bad
Repairing Any part can be bought separately, so easy to repair. It happens that you need to disassemble a section but it is still easy, just a little time consuming and frustrating as you put so much effort to make it as good as possible the last time you build it ;)
